Anyone traveling through Burlington, WI should stop for lunch at Fred's. It's on the corner of Milwaukee Ave., and N. Pine St.. Right next to the RR tracks. I think the bar is actually named something else, but the big sign in front say's "Fred's Famous Burger's". The atmosphere is Knotty Pine sport's bar, with the Badger's and Packer's in the lead. Burger's are excellent, you can jazz it up just about anyway you want. They also have grilled chicken breast, and the French Fries are great. Several beer's on tap including Guinness. I can get out of there after a couple Guinness, mushroom swiss and fries for around $10 with tip.

The next time you travel east, try Kewpee's in downtown Racine for the best cheeseburger of your life. In Kenosha, The Spot drive-in and Ron's Place will satisfy your cheeseburger urges
