It has just been brought to my attention that this is soup month. In honor of this Legal Seafoods in Boston is giving away a free cup of chowder on Tues. 1/15 from 11am to 1pm. This also covers their other locations in the Boston area. So if your in the area, the price is right. Chow Jim

From the promotions I've heard over the past couple of weeks it's not at all locations - check locally. Bummer, I have a lunch date nowhere near a Legal that day.

I had lunch at the location near the Prov/Warwick airport last weekend. The chowder is IMO, the very best. It is better than my own, my mother's, or any RF type place that I have visited from Rhode Island to Maine. That said, Legal, in general does not, IMO, quite live up to the hype. JMO. Todd

Yes, I agree, their chowder is excellent. Although I had a rather watery version one time at one of their locations outside of Boston. I have to say, I think the version that Twin Oaks has in Cranston, Rhode Island, is the best I've ever had. The clams were meaty, and the balance of potato and dairy was darn near perfect.
