For the sake of irony, I almost hope that bigd wins.  Almost.

The Meadowlands sounds good to me.

Re:Free Raffle: Win $2400 tickets to the Great American Food and Music Fest! 2010/05/31 10:35:10 (permalink)
Well I am so excited that I think I have already died and gone to Heaven!  Actually I tried that in 2006 having my 14th surgery and an emergency 15th surgery while I was there.  Two months in the hospital and still recuperating I wouldn't miss this for anything!  I will say tho that the worst thing you can do to a diehard Foodie is give them a GI problem! But then again it doesn't stop a diehard Foodie!
I just can't believe my luck that after all these years I am hopefully going to meet Jane and Michael!  And then the icing on the cake is all this food and so many of the places I have heard about!  I may never have gone to a Patriots game there but I have been to many concerts...how could I not when I live 7 miles away!  But this may even top the Eagles!!!  My 10 y.o. niece is coming and wants Duff to make her a cake! <g>  My mother is the other end of the spectrum at 78 (It will be her birthday) and I have her watching everyone.  Since my GI trouble I don't travel for food so am thrilled to see Tony Luke coming and Anchor Bar, etc.  We actually have a newer restaurant in Quincy MA called the Fat Cat that is also familiar with the Anchor Bar but in addition to the wings they have an unbelievable Fat Cat Mac N' Cheese that weighs about 6lbs and has lobster, crab, chicken, sausage, etc.  They put sliced tomatoes on the top and more cheese and bake til browned and bubbly!  Mmmmm!!!  Try to get there if you come for the weekend!
If I keep going I'll have a book.  As I said I am so unbelievably excited about this and everyone there, especially when they said it was tied in to Roadfood I really couldn't believe my luck!  (BTW...I still remember a little of the movie made on Jane's life with Kathy Bates playing Jane! <g>)
Maybe we all should wear a Roadfood name tag so we can say hi to everyone and try to figure out how many of us were there!
It won't come soon enough for me!  Happy eating everyone and I have to add Happy Memorial Day and Kudos to those that served and are serving this great country!
   Foodly,

   Jody

This is about the only reason I'd go to Foxboro Stadium!  It sounds like the best way I've heard of to spend a Saturday.  Been reading about all of these great places and would love to try the food.

Sounds like a great way to plan my summer vacation around food!  Last summer, I used your book "500 Things To Eat Before It is Too Late" while doing a car trip along the east coast.  We had a blast and enjoyed every bite.:) Please enter me in the giveaway.

I would love to attend! What a food roster!
I would recommend that every attendee visit Tony Luke's. Tony Luke's has a superior cheesesteak, the locals know this and stand in long lines daily to get one. Those not from Philadelphia are generally unaware that the locals consider the best sandwich to be Tony Luke's roast pork with greens (broccoli rabe or spinach). Aiy! My mouth is watering already! Gotta go down to Tony Luke's!
