It's about 200 miles to the closest JIB (near Nashville,TN) so I won't make the run to get those greasey little devils that I love dearly...but I had to think about it !
Much like the cult following for White-Castles, the JIB Taco Lover (which I proudly claim to be!) extends beyond the normal appreciation for those deep-fried treats. Usually two-for-a-buck, my typical lunch during my later years of teaching was the $5 special---8 tacos and a large Pepsi from the drive-thru at the JIB next to my school.
Janet likes their Burgers. I haven't had one in years so I can't evaluate them for you...but I will drive out of my way...or stop at a non-meal time, if I see a JIB, just to get a sackful of the Tacos and a bunch of their hot sauce packets ! YUM !

the jitb burgers have actually improved over the years, unlike most of the other fast-food joints around here.... but the tacos are definately a classic menu item :)
right now, all of the local jitb's are running a special called the 'big deal'- 1 taco, 1 cheeseburger, 1 small fries and a small drink for $2.99 :)

Wow - Jack in the Box around St. Louis must be a lot cheaper - they have a Jumbo Jack Deal - 2 Tacos, a Jumbo Jack, a Small Fry, and a Small Drink (Their Small is the same size as a Mickey D's Medium) - all for the bargain price of $3.49...And all the Jack in the Cracks have Strawberry Soda on tap around here. JITB is by far the best of the Fast Food Chains - I always miss them whenever I have to travel to an area where they aren't, but I hear they are doing major expansions throughout the country.
