Fresh Blueberry/Blackberry Turnovers - Fri, 07/10/09 1:33 PM ( #1 )
My wife and I were out in Adams County Ohio yesterday and we picked up probably the two finest tasting combo blueberry/blackberry turnovers we ever feasted on, here:

This Amish complex is one of the joys of living in the boonies of southwest Ohio.

My neighbor has a Mulberry tree-and she always tells us to grab all of them. My mother-in-law makes a wonderful pie with them...

There are a couple of U-Pick Blueberry Farms close to us. Janet has planned an early morning Picking-expedition tomorrow morning.

Our wild Blackberries should be ready in a week or so.

This Amish complex is one of the joys of living in the boonies of southwest Ohio.

Visited their bakery again and found out the two berry turnover is now a 3 berry turnover with the addition of red raspberries.

I just finished mine and I think the red raspberries were the predominant berry and I thought the flavor overall was lacking - I liked the two berry version MUCH better.
