Well I survived my first week on the dog-cart :)
My cheese dogs were "da-bomb" as the boys put it; many came back for seconds after they decided it was a winner. It even seems to be my son's favorite so far.
Sabrett red onion sauce is nearly impossible to find around here (unless you order it on-line and pay shipping etc)... and I have it (tee-heee)

Those who have tried it, love it, and also come back for more.
There were many more guys (and family) on the field tonight than earlier in the week when I've gotten so discouraged. And they were nicer too! They told me that on Fridays they like to hang around, watch some of the other games, have a few beers (which -ahem- are not allowed on the field), and have a good time... which meant that lingering around with their own personal dog cart just added to the fun.
I haven't counted the cash yet, but it is definitely better than the other weekdays and I expect will be even better next week when they know I'll be there (they asked). I look forward to it.
It was also my first night working by myself... doing the dogs and handling the cash. My husband, son, or in-laws were around to help before. It was OK and I didn't feel overwhelmed or flustered (but then again, it wasn't a Sunday either). All in all, I think I'll be keeping the Sundays and Fridays... I'll do the other two weekdays to see if there's any improvement, but I'm not holding my breath!
Tomorrow, I'm looking for my chili (for Sunday chili dogs!!)
