Hello All, I'm with IceCreamGirl on a cream of mushroom soup. Like a vegetable soup with barley and a spicey hot tomato soup, as well. Take Care, Fieldthistle

Hi all! I LOOOOOVE Hot Dogs. My husband LOOOOVes to cook soup. I often put hotdogs into soups, i.e. pea soup, cream of celery soup, potato soup. Also good in vegetable soup and minestone.....and...... german sauerkraut soup (made with potatoes, onions, sauerkraut, top off with water, salt, peppercorns, bay leaf). Usually make with some type of pork BUT hot dogs are good anytime.

My favorite soups are as changeable as the weather. I love soups of all sorts and make them frequently. The main thing here is not what Roadfood people like, but what will sell. I believe the Roadfood palate is too sophisticated to be of much use. The helpful people on this board have given you many suggestions for good soup, but I doubt most of them will sell. I don't like the idea of pre-made soup but I guess you are stuck with that due to government regulations. Most pre-made soups taste the same anyway, salty, way too salty. That being said, I think chicken noodle is a good choice as everyone grew up on it. I think a vegetarian vegetable would do well as it gives you at least one vegetarian selection. As a third suggestion perhaps split pea with ham which gives you a hearty selection. I doubt soup alone will make it though as pre-made soup is not a meal. There has to be something else to round it out. I think the suggestion regarding good bread was excellent and may work. Otherwise I think the whole thing might be a tough sell although I love the idea. It is really too bad that government has to dictate what you can and cannot sell. If it were not for that I would tell you to make your own homemade soups so you could retire early and rich

I believe that I have Bistro soup before. You say they are a division of Vienna Beef chicagodog? I just remember Italian Wedding with Vienna Sausage in it. It was really yummy. Three flavors that I have had from the place I think serves Bistro that were yummy were Chicken Dumpling, Cuban Black Bean and they had come sort of northside/northwoods chili that was really really good too.

Bistro Soups (Vienna Beef) makes over 30 varieties of soup. I've had their Cuban Black Bean and Split Pea, both made with Vienna Sausage. They also make six different versions of chili. BTW, these are for commercial use only, sold in a 16 pound case( 2-8 pound packs). All their soup and chili is frozen.
