Frozen Cooked Hamburgers

Years and years ago, there used to be canned hamburgers (never had one, never wanted one). However, I discovered years ago that if I made burgers on the charcoal grill, and froze them, they came out almost as good as fresh in the microwave. Although there are lots of microwave ready pre-cooked foods available, I have noticed that I can't seem to find pre-cooked hamburgers (except a couple of brands that come, bun and all, and, frankly, buns don't come out of the microwave so well. I have heard rumors to the effect that the fast rood restaurants use pressure on suppliers to prevent this from happening.
 
Does anybody know why microwave ready burgers are so hard to find?

Well, ... I was buying the $1  BK double cheese, 6 at a time, and freezing.    2 min in the microwave, they were just fine for a quick meal or snack.
 
But at my grocery are frozen white castles and another brand or 2;  also, in the frozen meat case are pre-cooked patties.

I remember Costco demoing a pre cooked burger, was not bad for what it was.....Check there, i think it was an angus cheese burger.

I was buying the BK buck double for freezing, too. It's gone (although the double cheeseburger is $1.29 in these parts). Wendy's double stack has just gone up, too, but the McDouble is still a buck around here. The trick is ordering it without any condiments, and tossing the bun before freezing. Still, it was nice to go to a BK, get 2 buck doubles and a side salad (being stingy with the dressing), and have a not too unhealthy dinner for $3 plus tax.
 
As a matter of curiosity, did the Costco burger come sans bun?

White castle! For an actual microwave patty, I am not sure. The only thing that comes to mind is maybe a veggie burger.

Bart.... The Costco burger was on a bun.

They make a few for Food service, I have seen a bar operation use them because they didn't have a hood system.
