I tried to look this up with search however found very little info. Anyone do fundraising with their hot dog cart? How much of a percentage should I offer a non-profit?

it really depends on your cost. if your gunna use a cheap dog like hebrew national or zacky farms, and your paying what...9-13 cents each dog, plus bun, so about 19-20 cents and if you can sell it for like 2-3 bucks...offer them .40 cents per dog sold. just give them double your cost, and maybe a few more cents, per dog, and maybe 20 cents per soda and 30 cents per water (water should cost customer more then soda) and depending on chips, like .15-.25 per bag sold, depending on your size of bags and cost/sell price.

make sure you make good money if your gunna do a fund raising thing to help a charity.

I don't know about your area, but I'd be very surprised if anyone would bite on the idea of you selling hot dogs for them as a fundraiser. Around here, if a group wants to raise funds by selling hot dogs or hamburgers, they go to Pepsi or Coke and borrow a concession trailer and do it themselves. The health department pretty much leaves these people alone.

Hey I have used fund raisers alot, I help 2 churches and do very well, we have flea markets and conferences craig hill, John bevier, were visiting during the breaks and lunch and afternoons I sold over 600 dogs and I donated $400.00 and made really good money, but know they call me for other events and the members also call for business events its a good way to get you business name out. I did sell cheaper Dogs but I bought in bulk and got the cost down low, 18 cents to 20 cents cost.
