I am sure that most of you will be in Clarksville and KY early Saturday morning and probably will not be back in Nashville until around noon.  If some of you are not making that trip and are in Nashville around noon, I would appreciate a note and perhaps we can have some afternoon snacks before making the trek to Loveless.  I should check in around 10:00AM
 
Hopefully PP will be available Saturday afternoon.  I will be at the Maxwell House along with some other roadfooders.

Not the Central Grocery, but you were on the right path- It was actually the Napoleon House- They serve their Muffaletta warm,but I asked for it cold. Chi Town Diner did a very good job of keeping his lips sealed!
 
Ok, Today I hit my favorite spot for lunch, and went to a complete BOMB for dinner - 
 
Being an optimist, I'm including what I enjoyed for lunch- what is it?  and where did I go (hint, I visited this place on a previous trip)  and  because of  the bomb for dinner, I'll have to double up tomorrow and may have to return for yet even a third visit before I leave the Big Easy on Friday.

Michael and I don't want anyone in Nashville to be wondering "why are those two wearing WEDDING BANDS?"  Well, we tied the knot yesterday.  Thanks to Roadfood!

My dear Mr. Pete, I shall do my very best to keep from embarassing you. This is not the first time a Nashvillian has asked that I not ruin things for him in his city of residence. The last one was a fellow named Lea Lawrence. But he was just getting even for my having begged him to behave during a cape buffalo hunt in South Africa.

Hmmm  PP, you may want to think about Hoffman's offer... If I had mis-behaved and had to choose who I would rather face to explain my actions (un-armed) I think I might choose the Cape Buffalo. Ms Lleechef is not one to have a reputation for mercy ! !

Am I seeing things??????????? Michael Hoffman gets married and all of a sudden, it's ok to call him Hoffman!!!!!!!!!!! What is this world coming to??

How about this...according to buffetbuster "I am very much looking forward to seeing the honeymooners and everyone else in Nashville" - they'll be 20 of us along for the honeymoon! 
 
I've never been on anyone else's honeymoon...not sure what to wear...or not wear! 

Well, no answered, or perhaps no one cared, but anyway,that was the bread pudding from Mother's. Due to lack of participation, that will be my last guessing photo.

Sorry, no cell phone photos of Tujagues- way too dark in there-  I even had to use flash on a couple of photos  on my new (but still cheap) $250 camera (on sale from $300) 
 
One more meal in New Orleans before I fly out to Birmingham early this afternoon.

It's a Canon Powershot SX 230 HS-  12 Megapixels vs 5 which my old camera had- does so much better with low light- but as I found out- can still only do so much.
 
On an aside- 36 degrees tomorrow in Clarksdale  MS (with a low of 16) and all I brought was a fall jacket-- oops!
 
At least it's not going to snow!

Yeah, Cold snap here too  with a dusting of snow expected. We are watching the long-range forcasts and will add info for next week as we see it.

TTM-  Why would they not be available? OH...You must have tried to purchase using your 'real' name. 

I thought Delta would be closed.

TM:  Why would flights not be available?  They may be expecting a small dusting of snow but I think that will be all.  Looking forward to your tales regarding your train trip.

Meaning he just booked his flight to Nashville this morning.  Which is four or five days earlier than usual!

  He is so used to finding doors closed and locked everywhere he goes, he expects the airlines to do the same to him...and if they know in advance who he is, they do close the flight !! It isn't easy being a T T M !!
