Stephen and I can be counted in for  Loveless but will not be attending the buffet brunch the next morning.  I do not care for buffets.

Greymo:  I am not exactly a fan of buffet's but Ellendale's brunch sure does sound good.  Perhaps you might try this one??

As Paul mentioned, Ellendale's is not a "Gold Corral" sort of place. It is divided into several smaller dining rooms and the food service areas are attended by multiple service people assisting the diners. We have found it to be a "class act" and a nice finale for the group's weekend.
   I hope you will join us.

Greymo, look at the website before you make your decision. Buffets don't normally have their own herb gardens.  The last time the Glee Club went there, I heard not a single uncomplimentary comment.

For those of you who asked about the timing of the Sunday Brunch. We have reservations for the first seating when  Ellendale's opens  Sunday Morning at  10:00 AM. That's as early as they serve, so we hope you'll join us for a fine farewell meal.

The schedule calls for our first stop to be at
SILKE'S BAKERY AND GERMAN CAFE in Clarksville, Tennessee. We'll gather at 8:00 AM (cst) and enjoy whatever you choose from the breakfasts or bakery goods to start the day.  Here is the Website with directions, and the house menu for your 'pre-visit' research.

After breakfast we will take the short ride ( 20-30 minutes) to the Knock'em Hill BBQ, just across the state line in Hearndon, KY. We recommend sharing and sampling here. Those you have been here before can describe your experiences to guide the new-visitors. KNOCK'EM HILL BBQ opens at 9:30 AM and the owner recommends that we get there early, as the Saturday crowd builds thru-out the morning.  Our plan seems to be falling into place !!
   From Knockem Hill BBQ we will return to Nashville between noon and 1:00 PM. For the afternoon there are several options that we can do individually or as small groups, depending on what your particular likes or dislikes may be.... Hot Fish and/or Chicken may be on some folks list, or a PIE Search for others. Historic sites and the Grand Old Oprey are possible stops also.
So keep your options open for the afternoon !!
  The evening at The Loveless is set to begin at 6:30 PM and will last at least a couple of hours...I would estimate that we'll close up the place at 9PM, so any late evening plans for "after-Dinner" can start about then.
   We hope that the combination of group activity and some free time for individual preferences will make for an enjoyable weekend for all.
We will have paper-maps for Knock'em Hill, The Loveless, and Ellendales available at SILKE'S Saturday morning , if anyone needs them.

WJ:  Hopefully we will have PP to show us the way.  There was a place right down the street from our hotel that sold hot fish and hot chicken but it was not one that PP wanted us to try.

PP  previously mentioned 400 degrees for hot chicken and Eastside Fish for Hot Fish as options
 
 PP and I went to Boltons for hot chicken 3 years ago and it was very good- in fact it was better than Prince's which I visited back in 2008.
 
PP also took me to King Fish- I didn't particulary care for their hot fish- way to overdone- I thought the hot fish I had at Joe's BBQ and Fish was better- but they are drive through only.

I was afraid of this.  Trader Joe's does not sell wine in the state of Tennessee.  I wanted to get a case or two of Charles Shaw (Two Buck Chuck).  I am sure that the law will change soon but as of now, they can't sell wine or liquor.

Plus the Hermitage Cafe is open all night, so you could hit it a couple of hours before the Pancake Pantry opens (6AM), if you were so inclined...  Agree with PP: both have much to recommend them!  I'd like to do this too, as I'll have to pass on Ellendale's.  Nothing against the food (we went just before Christmas) but the time doesn't work very well for me...

I ran thru the posts up to now and can account for 20 confirmed and 2 or 3 maybe's.  Those of you who indicated a "Party of One" in your reservation are welcome to bring a significant other or friend, but please advise us if you will do that, so our 'tally' will be accurate.  If anyone is lurking in the shadows and wants to join the fun, please post or let us know soon. We must give the Loveless an exact count a week before we show up.
 
The travel following the Saturday morning stops will provide a nice break in the noon-hours to allow us to be ready for an afternoon of hot-spicy stuff as you choose. Just remember the dinner menu at Loveless Cafe centers on Fried Chicken and Country Ham and Fried Catfish.

Just a reminder NASHVILLE is CENTRAL Time Zone. (my dad has already tried to confuse me)

It looks like you may be the first arrival, Cajunking.  I would be interested in hearing your opinion of Jack Cauthon's barbeque place on Trinity Lane.  Have you plans yet for Wednesday around 5:00 p.m.?

Jan and I will be at the Saturday Breakfast stops...coming directly from Louisville. We;ll then go to Nashville for the rest of the days activities plus the Sunday  Brunch.

I plan on getting into town mid afternoon on Friday 2/17- If anyone wants to join me for a Pimento Cheese Sandwich at Merridees's  Bread Basket in Franklin let me know- 

Iwanago and myself will be in Nashville early Saturday morning but not in time to join the Clarksville bakery and Kentucky BBQ.

There should be several of us in town by Friday evening, in fact I'm certain that Chi Town Diner 
probably will  have had 9 or 10 stops by then easily , conservatively speaking of course. I'm certain we'll be planning a dinner stop or two.
 
On an aside, on a different thread, I asked for your opinion on Miss Myra's bbq in Birmingham, you probably didn't see it because you already responded to the original poster's question.
 
 

Hey Wanderingjew!  I have never had the pleasure of eating at Miss Myra's although I have heard some nice things about it. But eating is believing, so I should really get over there and try it out!

An interesting side-light... It appears that Five of the Six Charter members of the Glee club will be in attendance this year, for the first time since the first session in 2004 !!  The five initial members coming to this meeting are Bushie, Pogophile, Sundancer, Poverty Pete, and the Mayor. Missing will be JimInKY who faded from this site several years ago and his whereabouts are unknown.

Al and Paul- then there was the year that none of the original members showed up - two years ago in Charleston- I'm not sure how the others felt- but to me it just didn't "feel right" of course having a very "controlling" girlfriend at the time  may have had something to do with it

That's ok-  I will let you know how Ms Myra's is- I checked Heartbreaksoups blog and gives it a thumbs up-
and others have remarked very favorably- There's another white sauce BBQ joint in Birmingham which has also gotten favorable reviews called Saw's BBQ- but it appears Miss Myrs's is more established.

I will coming in Clarksville before dark on Friday night.  Will join you at the Clarksville bakery Saturday morning and then Knockum Hill.
 

See you in Clarksville Louis. We'll come down the Western KY Parkway to the Penneyrile Pkwy then south early Saturday morning.  Janet is looking forward to trying one of the famous Pork Chops at Knock'em Hill BBQ.
