Im coming into Lebanon on Wednesday so i am available from Wednesday on.  I know my father & I are going to do some war of northern agression sight seeing either thursday or friday day.

CK, I suggest touring the battlefield and museum in Murfreesboro at the Battle of Stones River site.  When you're done there, grab a burger at Buster's Place on Broad near Kroger.

WJ:  I have stayed at the Maxwell House several times.  Do you think I could get a room there at the same price you did?  It is very nice with a nice setting overlooking downtown, the Tennessee Titans training field and other interesting locations.  Some rooms have a view of the Cumberland River.

WJ:  I have stayed at the Maxwell House several times.  Do you think I could get a room there at the same price you did?  It is very nice with a nice setting overlooking downtown, the Tennessee Titans training field and other interesting locations.  Some rooms have a view of the Cumberland River.

I realized in my last note, the amount I paid was  a typo it wasn't $40, it was $53  (I actually paid $40 for my stay in Little Rock)  Still $53 is an amazing deal for The Maxwell House.
Keep in mind it's not a 4 star hotel- it's 3 stars. I actually put in for a 2 1/2 Star and they upgraded me. 
 
Although there is no guarantee that you can get the Maxwell House- I strongly suggest you enter: 
-$53 as your bid
-Downtown as your location
-3 Star for the quality (don't worry THEY WILL NOT DOWN GRADE YOU)
and see what happens.
 

I just tried Dale's numbers, and was denied.  That doesn't really mean much, though, I'll try it again Monday, and it might be accepted then.

Does that mean the Marriott is out?

Yeah, Greg, the Marriott I was trying to get us in to, won't be open by then.  I just ran Dale's numbers again, with 2.5 stars, and was booked at the Great Western on Union st. at 7th, downtown. good location, nice hotel, good deal. If anybody's curious, I got a hotel, because I have a vip coming in to visit with us.

I nailed it for $53.00 at the Maxwell House.  I have stayed there several times before.  Great location on a hill overlooking the Titans practice area and the Cumberland River and close to some good chicken and fish places.

Hi Chris, Yeah we watched back to back playing of Blazing Saddles a couple of nights ago too !! That line really set the tone for the movie !!   We hope you'll have the time to join the RF fun next month.

Al - I hope (& plan) to, schedule permitting.  Also, if anyone is coming in early or has extra time, I would definitely be up for hitting Martin's barbecue in Nolensville (about 10 minutes from my house, although I don't make it over there very often).

Chris, It will be very good to see you as it has been a while.  Since this is in your back yard, you can't afford to miss it.  I am coming in early Saturday morning and leaving sometime Sunday morning.  I think PP may have some plans for early Sunday morning???

Saturday night dinner. OK. Thanks. I'm so thrilled to be wearing one of those shirts. Offhand, the only thing I can think of that might be more pleasureable than being caught alive in that shirt would be stepping between a mama grizzly and her cub.
