Garlic crabs seem to be a reional thing down here in south Florida. Crabs are cleaned, dressed and slathered with garlic oil. Anyone have a favorite crab shack for garlic crabs? We love going to Rustic Inn in FTL. bkk

I've had the Garlic Crabs at the Rustic Inn, and I really didn't care for them. Now, I've never had garlic crabs before, and the one time I was at the Rustic Inn there were no blue crabs, so the garlic crabs were made with golden crabs.

The two crab joints near to my home have both long since closed, but I recently found a little hidden place about ten minutes up US-1. I took a couple of pix when I scouted it out.

Restaurant facade at 9636 SW 77th Ave:

Here is the interior, shot through the window:

I also managed to get a shot of the menu in the window:

We're looking forward to trying it soon. It is open daily, except Tuesday, at 5:00 PM.

I've never been to theRustic Inn. Back when I was single and used to run up to Broward a lot for food and drink, none of my crowd cared much for crabs.

They didn't used to have an additional location at Sunset and Galloway, did they?

What I love at the Rustic Inn is their Conch Chowder.
