Garlic French Fries Sun, 12/26/10 5:07 PM (permalink)
Attended a yearly family function today, laying wreathes on a family gravesite in Rockville Md. Afterwards went to a restaurant that had  Garlic French Fries, hand cut twice fried, then a liberal application of minced fresh garlic warmed in olive oil, and parsley, then liberally applied to the fries. Over the top delicious, all 17 of us had them, and fell in love with them. Garlic fries coming to my menu very soon!

They've been showing up on menus here.  Fab the place for the best hot dogs (possibly soon to be upseated by Skooby's) in Los Angeles County has them on their menu.

Then again they're the one who sell that bacon shake.

I gain 5 pounds every time you post a picture, Chewy, so I await your version of this menu item with trepidation.

            Mr Chewy,
You are amazing.  Even on your day off, a day dedicated to remembering family members gone to their reward,  you find a new and exciting menu item.

Hey your Skins won a game---keep that up and you won't get a good draft pick.  Next week you will face the falling apart Giants----a big opportunity for the 'skins to get back in your good graces.

Send a bag of dem dare garlicky fries and I will write a glowing report for the local press.  The last stuff you sent was mislaid by the UPS guy.  Try carrier pidgeon.

fRedhots in Glenview? IL has them & they are fan freakin tastic. He also makes a garlic aoili for his frites. I got them both one day & I haven't been attacked by a vampire since. Coincidence? I think not!

You need to change UPS guys Ancient One, as everything I send you, he eats!
Also if before kickoff I had my Skins eat some garlic fries, they might get flagged for unsportsman like conduct... awful breath!

Awful breath? From garlic? That's the most wonderful aroma in the world.

There's a reason that they sell the &^%$ out of them at any and every Dodger's game at Dodger Stadium.

I've run out of fingers counting the number of non-LA converts I've made out of mid-westerners and east coasters  when in LA and at a game.

It's a tough sell, but once tasted, anyone who has even a remote love of garlic is sold.

Garlic turns nasty tasting fries in to a dish to relish.
