Garlic, Is there nothing it can't do? Sat, 02/26/11 2:22 AM (permalink)
Folks,
Garlic maybe one of the most un-sociable foods we eat, next to onions.
But, I love my garlic, I make my own garlic salt and garlic butter.
Garlic is good for you, embrace it, people have for hundreds of years.
It is good for blood pressure.
Provided you have good hygiene, people will never know that you eat it and that is why the word has never got out, everyone is scared of being labelled as a garlic eater.
Get into it folks!
Mmmm Roasted Garlic.

Fortunately, I live close enough to Gilroy, CA, home of the Gilroy Garlic Festival:  http://www.gilroygarlicfestival.com/

I also live in the town where garlic fries outsell hot dogs at the ballpark (ignore the green energy hype):

I've been told that if you rub garlic on the bottoms of your feet, it will show up on your breath.  Nothing wrong with that.

In answer to your question, NO, THERE IS NOTHING GARLIC CAN'T DO! BTW, I serve garlic fries at my restaurant, hugely popular.

A number of friends just dined at a Waukesha Chinese restaurant, the Peking House, where we feasted on many food items none of us had ever tried before. A huge winner was Szechuan Salt and Pepper Tofu which was covered with deep fried garlic chips. It was like eating dessert.

We have garlic in our garden and it has been there for years.  Each year we harvest it and leave a little in the ground where it comes up each spring.  We ain't every out of garlic.  I use it all the time.
