Jeepers, and I was a little happy it's down to $3.69 here.
 
Or were you using a gas rebate card that gives you money off if you shop at a particular grocery store?

I had a dollar a gallon off from the Giant Eagle supermarket. The regular price was $3.11.9.

$3.49 is about average around here when I filled up last evening.

$3.71 unleaded.....$3.85 Diesel

$3.43 for unleaded is the low around here.

3.22 last I saw in my neighborhood.

Paid $2.89 yesterday.

Wow!  How/where did you get it for $2.119 per gallon.  Is it a typo .... Did you mean $3.119?
Got it for $3.259 near Front Royal, VA today.  Unfortunately, it's about $3.57 near Wash-Dulles airport, closer to where I live.

Despite Arizonians eating plenty of Pintos & Refried's, Gas still needs to come to AZ via pipelines from TX. Lowest price I saw today was $3.29

$3.56 is a low price in this neck of the woods.

Well, Giant Eagle supermarkets give you 20-cents off per gallon for every $50 worth of eligible purchases. That doesn't include beer, wine, etc.

I get the same deal with my Price Chopper card at Sunoco stations, but I don't shop there anymore so I haven't been able to take advantage of the gas savings. I don't spend more than 15-20 bucks on gas a week anyway, so I'm not altogether that worried about it.

It's about $3.19 here, and dropping every day. When I was in North Jersey on Saturday, it was a lot lower than here. I hope it continues to drop; as I have to fill up every 4-5 days due to a second job.

Okay, that  explains it.   They do that with Giant Food and Shell around here, but they only give 10 cents off per $100 spent.  Yours is a much better deal.
Around here, we're better off just shopping somewhere cheaper, and buying gas somewhere cheaper than Shell.   Costco around here has some decent gas prices.

Small 4 cylinder Nissan, 5 mile commute to work, anywhere else I generally go is all pretty close and mostly highway, or within walking distance. I also plan out routes and stops ahead of time to minimize time on the road (I don't actually write it down, just in my head). On the occasion I do drive farther, it might double or triple that figure depending on where I go. I don't do it so much to save gas, I just dislike being in the car somewhat, and do what I can to cut down on driving time.

here on the MD/DE border its 3.25 a gallon    

Winn Dixie started the fuel card thing a few months ago along with Shell stations. The Tampa newspaper did a study and concluded that the average grocery basket was much higher at Winn Dixie so any savings on gas was lost on higher priced groceries. They may not be the case in other area's.

Gas currently in Knoxville at $3.14 per gallon.
 
I drive my Miata mostly which gets great fuel mileage and my Caddy gets about 30 on the road in steady fuel management.
