General Mills Boo Berry Cereal?

When and where was the last time anyone saw any General Mills Boo Berry cereal? I haven't seen any for years.

If you can't find it anywhere else, order directly from General Mills at: http://specialty.generalmills.com/store/ Under Big G cereals, click on Boo Berry. The page will come up to order it (4 boxes or 16 boxes).

I also remember Quisp (an alien) and Quakey ( a miner) cereals. Both tasted like Cap'n Crunch but in different shapes.

I can only find it at Wal-marts (both regular and supercenters). As for Frankenberry and CountChocula, those can be had at most supermarkets in my area (Eastern PA). Its the Booberry that tends to be so elusive. Its my alltime favorite so I am forced to go to Wal-mart to buy it despite my dislike of the Wal-mart corporation in general (don't like their whole shark tactic that puts smaller stores out of business). Cereal is the only thing I'll buy there. I have to admit though, last year around Halloween they had three boxes of any combination of monster cereals for $5.00 which can't be beat. Again, cereal is the only time I'll give in and support their business.

    Regards,
    Chris

PS...I made "rice krispie treats" with booberry cereal as a substitute and they were great. Give it a try for a unique twist on a classic snack...great for Halloween!

In the Pathmark in Fort Lee, New Jersey, at approximately 9 P.M. this past Sunday night. They had Fanakenberry and Count Chocula, too, and all of it seemingly by the palletload. No King Vitamin, though, I'm sorry to say.

Our local Krogers carries it. I just had a box of it a couple months ago. I do prefer the little marshmallows that used to come in the monster cereals compared to the large ones of today though. I'm pretty sure that I can buy Frankenberry, Count Chocula, and Booberry almost at any time. Now if you ever found a box of fruit Bruit or Yummy Mummy,,,,,i'd be interested.

I'm with you 100% on that score. The fact that Walmart is unCanadian gives me yet another reason.

It'd be interesting, but that stuff would be crazy old!

    Ah, who'm I kidding? I'd eat it.

I agree with you totally about Wal-Mart. I think it's a shame what they do to small and/or Mom and Pop businesses all over this country. Of course, when it gets right down to it, as consumers, part of the problem lies with us because we shop there to begin with.

I have to confess that there are times my family shops at Wal-Mart because their prices are just so low on a given item, but every time I spend a penny with them I do so grudgingly, and ONLY after making sure that there's not some locally owned place where I can get what I need that's more or less in the same neighborhood price-wise. I never mind spending a little extra if it supports a local business.

I truly believe that some day this nation will come to regret the fact that we helped Wal-Mart become the giant it is. I personally regret it now.

    Just my opinion...

I've seen it in various Targets in MN. I bought all 3 varieties several times in the past few weeks to pass on to family members craving it in another state and for those at home.
Target usually has them on sale for $2 a box and you can find coupons for it online here: http://customcoupon.com/cgi-bin/valuecenter.cgi?config=GANNETT013

Giant Food Stores in Northern Virginia has been carrying all three kinds for Halloween. Most of the time they just have the Frankenberry and the Count Chocula.

It may be gone now, but at Stop and Shop here in NY...and I'd imagine in Mass...they had Count Chocula, FrankenBerry, and BooBerry out just before halloween. They had a LOT on Sunday, so they must have some left. I bought a box of each...man-o-man is that stuff sweet!" />

When all else fails you can always check my favorite place for hard to find food items.....www.hometownfavorites.com I just checked and they are temporarily out of BooBerry which is probably a good thing as it sells for $5.00/box! Too bad they don't have one of my favorite cereals from long ago........Kellogg's Concentrate. It is no longer made

Of course you can't find it.. I saw a documentary on some guy who ate NOTHING but BooBerry.. even going as far as hiding the boxes of Count Chocula and Frankenberry so people wouldn't buy the "inferior" cereals... so if you can't find it blame this nut... he's probably got scurvy by now..

I search for Boo Berry everytime I go into a store selling cereal. I have not had it in years, plus I crave all things blueberry.

Man, I'd love to try Boo Berry. I've never seen it on any my frequent trips to Buffalo. However, here in Toronto, Count Chocula isn't hard to find at all. In fact, many supermarkets carry it year round. I don't know about the rest of Canada, mind you.

You BooBerry kids are a little young to remember, but Kaboom! was the bomb! Had a freaky 70s clown, marshmallow pieces, and enough chemicals to equal something like 7X the daily adult requirements of most vitamins.
