George Washington Seasoning?

I just ran into a recipe with George Washington Seasoning listed as an ingredient. I have never heard of this and have not been able to locate it in searches. Is it a brand name, or a type of seasoning? Thanks! Conrad

The links above are probably what you are seeking. Interesting other possibilty I was reminded of. About ten years ago i was in san felipe mexico for Christmas with my ex-wifes family. The two hotels in town serving Christmas dinner both advertised Washington sauce with dinner. it turned out to be a cherry based sauce for turkey or ham. they were stunned that we weren't familiar with it.

My wife has used George Washington Seasoning rich brown in all gravies. Her mother passed on the use of this secret additive to her and using it seems to get many compliments with anything gravy. It seems to give normally flat tasting gravy more depth and it sometimes can be hard to find on the supermarket shelves or even a store that carries it. All the Shop Rites here in the N/E carry it.
