I have indeed. Let's see, Johnny Antonelli, the first real Bonus Baby when he signed with the Boston Braves, was pitching for the Giants in '54 when the New York Giants won their last World Series title. Finally, the New York Giants have won again.

The Giants were the closest MLB to me growing up and were always my favorite national league team. They were clearly the better team. Those photos of him in a bow tie before the game made him look about 12 years old.

The next best thing to winning was being there. It was a pleasure to have the Rangers playing the Giants in the World Series... and hope to see yall next year.

Not I. In my disappointment and fury I'd have lashed out angrily at anyone who might have seemed to be pleased with such a horrible outcome.

You must be confused. They are the New York Giants. I hope you were not taken in by the late '50s hoax that the Giants left the Polo Grounds for some city on the West Coast.

The world famous Polo Grounds-----where center field extending into the next boro-----with the distance down the line in left and right fields the same as Little League.

Where I saw King Carl Hubbell throw his screw ball around Ernie Koy's bat like a yoyo.
Where Prince Hal Schumaker struck out Buddy Hassett and Dolph Camilli back-to-back with the bases loaded and the winning run on second.  Where Willie Mays made a great over the shoulder catch in center field and where Vic Wertz dug up a yard of dirt with his spikes.
Where Willie Mays made the greatest throw from deep center field to throw out Billy Cox who had tagged at third-----
Where Buddy Kerr made the best infield catch I ever saw--diving behind third base and bare handing a foul pop.
Where I saw Fordham (with Vince Lombardy and 6 other blocks of granite) tie Marshall Goldberg and his Pittsburg Panthers 0-0.

Ah yes Michael my boy-----O'Malley and Stoneham stole our teams away but not our memories.

My memories of the Polo Grounds also include seeing Bob Feller, playing for a Navy (that's the U.S. Navy) team pitch against the Giants in 1943 or 1944. I even remember everyone drinking beer from those funny-looking cans with screw-on tops. And, shhh!, I remember getting to sip some of my uncle's beer.

Up until the renovation of Soldier Field, I used to sit in my grandfather's seats, which used to be Sid Luckman's.  When I was a little kid, before Bears games, we used to have breakfast at McCormick Place with the Bears' Hall of Famers.  I know that Bill George was there on at least one occasion, and I remember Joe Stydahar having me sit on his lap.

When we would park at the stadium, my grandpa would give a policeman $10.00, a beer and a sandwich, and he'd move the sawhorse so that we could park on the street right across from the gate.

Very nice memories. Bill George was a true Monster of the Midway.

During the season The Bears lost to the Sammy Baugh Redskins.
It was 41 or 42----not important.
But the Championship game between the same two teams saw the Bears win 73-0.  Wood you bee-leave?
Bill Osmanski ran for a few TDs Joe Maniaci ran for some more---Luckman was great.

Saw Sid one summer day --he was playing handball in Brighton Beach,
Brooklyn, NY..  There was a crowd around watching----real Irish neighborhood you understand.  I asked another kid what was going on---and he said "That's Sid Luckman" -----WOW --  he was the KING of Brighton Beach.
