Global Ceramic Whetstone on Wusthof knives? Sat, 04/30/05 4:23 PM (permalink)
Hi All -

I need some advice. I am the enthusiastic owner of a Global chefs knife as well as an older collection of Wusthof knives. I've received a Global Ceramic Whetstone as a gift. My question is whether or not I can use the whetstone to sharpen my Wusthof knives. Thanks for your help.

I don't know of any reason why you shouldn't use it on any knives. However, if it's a rough grit stone you might not want to use it very often on any knife. Global or otherwise.

Ceramic puts a fine edge on a blade, just stroking each side of the blade on an unglazed section of a bowl a few times will help true the edge..

Thanks. The whetstone is a fine grit stone.

Then it should work well on all your knives, and there's no need to be concerned about how often you use it.
