Good News-Bad News

The good news is that the faux diner that started out as the 33 Diner and morphed into an even more Godawful "gourmet" faux diner on U.S. 33 between Lancaster and Logan in Ohio is shuttered. No longer will unknowing eaters have to face medium rare burgers cooked so long they'll shatter if dropped, and country fried steak so soft and mealy you can cut it with your thumb. The bad news is that Dee's Diner north of Nelsonville is still open, and my cheeseburger was deliciously inedible, but the coffee was nice and luke.

That's great to hear on the heels of a story on my AOL homepage today, that rates Ohio as the worst state in the Country for retirees to live! Really!
