Hello Can anyone recommend a good BBQ in the Scranton, PA area. I know of a few diners that have a BBQ but are there any restaurants who specialize in this? Thanks in advance.

Woody's on Northampton St in Wilkes-Barre. It's up and down, but it is real BBQ. Crazy Jake's in Walnutport, down by Allentown. Worth the drive. Tom

Are you talking about Southern style bbq, or the BBQ sandwiches ubiquitous to the Wilkes Barre area, which are shaved turkey, pork, or beef with a great homemade sweet pickle relish on a bun? I love those bbq sandwiches; I have only ever had them in that local area. beth

I was thinking more of the Southern Style, I actually have never heard of the local variation but it sounds good.
