Sorry, not me... but the phrase 'drive in' brings back fond memories.

I know the name. The place was a legendary hangout for hotrodders and motorcyclists on St. Georges Avenue. Was it Linden or Rahway, N.J.? I drove by often as a kid, and recall an impression of chrome, bright paint, black leather jackets and pretty girls. But by the time I could drive, I think it was gone. The Bear

Walt's was a very popular place located in Linden, right over the border of Linden/Rahway. It's been gone a long time, and I never did get to go. They used an all beef Haydu dog that was cooked on a griddle. Haydu was made in Newark. They are still being made, but I don't know where. Their beef/pork dog used to be served at most Stewart's awhile back. Now it is used at The Old Heidelburg and Nickerson's in Keansburg.
