Good sources of meat in Kansas Tue, 05/30/06 10:36 AM (permalink)
Just wanted to pass along a couple of places that do a great job on sausages and the like:

Krizman's House of Sausage is in the Strawberry Hill area of Kansas City, Kansas. Krisman's has been producing ethnic sausages since 1939 and supplies a number of Kansas City restaurants. They have Croatian and other ethnic sausages and knockwurst.

Brant's Meat Market is in Lucas, in central Kansas. They have good fresh meats as well as dry cured bacon, beef jerky, homemade Czech bologna, and wonderful smoked link sausages. The market has been operating for 83 years, over 70 of those years by the same family. Brant's Czechoslovakian bologna is a real standout!
