Got a new soup coming, it is really unusual and good

Cream of Jalapeno, spicy sausage, noodle soup, would you try it?
It got a kick serious kick to it. Pics to come.

    unusual and good------ok.

Are you saying your others have not been?
Cream of bacon sure was unusual and when you added the spuds and veggies it was good.

The way the Roux is cooked for a Gumbo gives a nice platform to add some of the hot peppers and sausage..........................The best.....................Bill

There are some canned soups I really love. Campbell's tomato, for instance (made with milk or cream). And their chicken with rice. Oh, and their bean and bacon, and their cheddar cheese soup makes a great base for Welsh Rabbit. And if you're really lazy, you can make some terrific sauces with their cream of asparagus and cream of celery soups. Then there's Progresso's wedding soup, chickarina soup and pasta e fagiole. And I absolutely love Doxee clam chowder and Snow's clam chowder.

Maybe I worded that incorrectly.  I like a lot (ton) of canned soups, but I won't taste them all.

    Example:  Cream of Celery.   *shudder*

I loved canned clam chowder.  Do you add a can of minced clams to your clam chowder?  That and a few drops of hot sauce go in to mine.  In the past a pat of butter was also added but I had to draw the line somewhere.

The cream of celery soup is for making a sauce. I've never eaten it as soup. As to the chowder, the Doxee comes with two cans taped togther. The top can is a can of chopped, not minced, clams. The Snow's is just one can, but it is loaded with clams.

    Phew!  (Celery Soup)

I buy Snow's at The 99¢ Only Store.

CTF needs to post a recipe for a good clam chowder.  Not too thick, not too thin and loaded with clams.

Gumbo is not that popular a dish up in this neck of the woods. Mar52 might win that taste test. But, CTF might make the better clam chowder.
