Gray Brothers for BREAKFAST?

In a few weeks, I'm arriving at the Indianapolis airport on the red-eye from LAX early in the morning.

It will be too early for lunch at Gray Brothers Cafeteria, but according to the website, they serve breakfast seven days a week from 5 to 10 a.m.

Has anyone tried breakfast at Gray Brothers?

I know you're talkin' Breakfast but this place looked good enough to skip Breakfast and go straight to Lunch!
This place opens at 11AM. Saw it on DDD and their sandwiches looked terrific! Breads either baked on site or from "Back East". And Reasonable.

Looks like a breakfast menu is pretty hard to come by. I'd like to know what they serve and how much it costs.

Thanks, Foodbme.  I am staying in the Nora area of Indianapolis, which isn't that far from Carmel.

I may have a chance to check it out, but I already have some other eating commitments scheduled during my trip.

It was the fact that I would be at the airport (near Mooresville) early in the morning that made me think breakfast at Gray Bros. might be appealing.

But I can't seem to find out anything about it, other than the hours it is served -- assuming the web site is accurate.

This is a surprising news.  I have been to Gray's on several occasions where people are lining up at the door, for when they open at 11:00AM.  Unless this is something new, I don't see how this is possible.  If you do make it to Gray's for breakfast, please report back.

Very surprising.  There is a good chance I will be in Indy this weekend.  If I do, Sunday morning breakfast will be at Gray's and I will be reporting back here.

Sorry to disappoint you, but Gray's is not open for breakfast.  If I were you I would try Waffle House, they are all over the city. Which direction will you be going from the airport?
By the way, we had Gray's cater our daughter's wedding reception.  What a great idea that was!!!  Everyone raved.

Thanks for the suggestions, and I'm glad the catering worked out.

I'm originally from Indianapolis, and my brother lives there.  So I'm not looking for other breakfast recommendations, but I appreciate the thought.

It was just the novelty of thinking that Gray Bros might be open for a different meal, and my proximity to it because I'd be coming from the airport that early in the morning that led me to ask the question.  I've been to Gray Bros for lunch many times.

The question remains: why would Gray Bros. web site say they are open for breakfast if they are not, I wonder?http://www.graybrotherscatering.com/CafeteriaMenu.html

They have an email address on their web site. Suggest calling or sending them an email to verify one way or the other.

If you confirm that  Gray Bros doesn't serve breakfast , If I were in your shoes I'd check yelp or urbanspoon, I bet there are many wonderful LOCAL places in the Indy area that serves a good breakfast.

The two best breakfast places in Indy are
    LePeep's
Eggs Benedict, King Cakes, 18 Wheeler
    Cafe Patachou
Omelet of the Day, Homemade Cinnamon Toast, Granola

This has been so suspenseful!  Will someone actually pick up a telephone and call Gray Brothers to see if it's open for breakfast?  Stay tuned!

Thanks for the information.  I wish they'd update their web site so they wouldn't mislead.

Again, everyone,  I appreciate all the breakfast suggestions, but as I said 1) I'm a native of Indianapolis, 2) I'm not looking for general breakfast suggestions, 3) I was only interested in having breakfast at Gray Bros. because I was arriving at the airport so early (too early for lunch) and would be in the vicinity, before heading up to the Nora area where I'll be staying.  I'm unlikely to get back down to Mooresville before I depart.   (I'm going to be in Indianapolis for a board meeting at the Westin downtown, but I'm not staying at that hotel.  The rest of the weekend, I'll be seeing family and friends.)

I will be having Sunday lunch at Hollyhock Hill that weekend.  Other meals are still up in the air.

    And finally -- I'm not a "guy."  I'm female.
