I second Bob's comment about Doe's Eat Place
in Greenville, MS. The beef was outstanding.
Then I will add a step up from there to the Doe's
in Paducah, KY. It is not common to have the offspring of the original owner of a place make improvements on the original, but that's what has happened in the 'Doe's Family'. The Paducah store is run by the Greenville Store owners son. The Beef is every bit as good, plus they have a Lunch menu, much more room and a location in a historic district in Paducah, and serve the 'total dinner' for one price, as opposed to the 'Ala Carte' arrangement where the salad/soup and other items are billed seperately.
Yes put me down for endorsing "Doe's Eat Place"
TWICE, with Paducah heading the List !
Here is our dinner at the Paducah,KY Doe's-
Grilled Shrimp with veggies for Janet and a large Ribeye Steak with French Fried Potato for me (with an appetizer order of Grilled Shrimp to share). Also some Garlic Toast for the two of us , as well !
BTW- My ribeye, with Potato, Bread and Coke to drink was $32. The Appetizer Shrimp was $10 and change. Janet's Shrimp dinner with Veggies, and Bread and coffee was $9.95 (off the lunch menu!) They did have a 10 oz NY Strip with the sides on the Lunch Menu for $12 also!
Added 2/19- Here is a shot of TTM's Porterhouse with one of my Shrimp as a garnish. It too, was a piece of Art as well as a great cut of Beef!
