Griddle Hood

Just thought I would share my griddle hood, It's made of Aluminum Valley Roll found at the lumber company. You will need to put TWO sheets over your shelf. The dropdown piece is actually in 3 pieces. the part you cant see is about 4 inches that stays wedged between the two sheets and is held together with plain ol duct tape. Heat does not affect the tape.

are you trying to put this over the grill to lessen the heat from the grill when not in use????

it traps the heat so the fan sucks it right out and keeps the trailer cooler during none rush periods

Cool (lol) so if someone were going to make a fancy one it would slide open like a patio door? Of course no one has room for that.

(pun)..... I wanted to build a roll top but one huge problem, when it's rolled open it would block access to the ventilation duct. It wasn't important enough to me to switch over to a down draft vent system. I only use it about a month each year.
