Griddle leg question ?

One more question I bought a new 3 burner Royal griddle,And was wondering how much heat it puts out underneath it ? Can I mount it to the table without the legs ? It would be easier for me to bolt it to the table without the legs then to try to find some way to keep it in place and not flying around with the legs ?

well, two questions come to mind.... whats the table material? are you prepared for that table to be heated from the radiated heat from burner head? i think most griddles are open on the bottom for airflow right? might need to call Royal and ask them about that one...... im looking at a couple of Royal items myself, have you recieved it yet?...how well does it seem to be built ?

Don't know if you already installed your griddle or not. Last year I redid a trailer for my taco business and replaced the stock legs with bolts. I drilled through the bottom of the equipment stand, fed the bolt through, put a nut on it and then threaded it into the threaded opening on the griddle. Then I tightened the nut against the equipment stand. This was so that I could secure it in my moving trailer, as well as make it a little shorter than it would have been otherwise. I wouldn't install anything with out the legs for fire reasons, but I bet sealing an inch or two won't hurt. I'll send you a photo if interested.

What you might do is put a sheet of stainless down on the countertop drill your hole pattern for the grill then cut 4 round stock tubes 1-2" in height, set grill up on pipe and run a bolt from under neith and tight'in down.
