HAWK's boiled crawfish Fri, 02/18/05 6:15 PM (permalink)
I've heard rave reviews of Hawk's in Rayne/Branch, LA. Can anyone back this up? What makes Hawk's boiled crawfish so much better than everyone else?

Hawk Arceneaux's crawfish are purged in fresh spring water, and are thoroughly clean, with a buttery taste not found in non-purged ones. I just ate some two days ago. They are about $14 for 3.5 lbs. and $20 for 5 lbs., available regular, hot or extra hot, with corn or potatoes extra. He serves them with a sauce on the side, sort of a catsup/mayonnaise blend.
    Delicious!
