And the same to you and yours. I picked up the turkey on Monday and lleechef is letting the loaves of bread get stale for the stuffing. This afternoon we're off to the orchard to pick up some real cider.

We've got people coming in from Michigan, Wisconsin and New York but this year we are not hosting the dinner itself. A niece has volunteered. We'll contribute beer, wine and pie.

    Thymus glands? Yuck!
And by the way, the reason I won't touch them is because I've eaten them.

No, no. Quite traditional for Thanksgivukkah. I'm sure everyone will love them again next Thanksgivukkah, too -- in 75,000 years.

Not burned at all.  They were perfect.  I didn't make them, my brother was the latke maker.

I dunno Mar as they look scorched to me!  I guess it all depends on the recipe or the cook as I have eaten a LOT of latkes in my life (probably not as many as you) and all the ones I have had were a nice Golden Brown in color.  That goes for the ones Rena makes and the ones I have had served in the Jewish delis............

Those are hash browns!  Maybe even Rosti but not the real, hand grated (not shredded) latkes.

A lot of delicatessens masquerade those as the real thing.... but they're not.  They're potato and they're latkes but they're not the real deal.

    Mar, those tarts look delicious!!

Latkes sound like a fine thing for Thanksgivukkah!  You've put me in the mood for them now.  The last ones I made had pretty uneven cooking, but were tasty.
