Hardee's Monster Biscuit

Beware of Hardee's new Monster Biscuit: 3 half-strips of bacon 1 sausage patty 4 slices of shaved ham 1 folded egg 2 slices cheese all on a biscuit Included in this (at no extra charge): 2300 mg sodium (1 tsp. salt) [Daily Value = 2400 mg] 275 mg cholesterol [Daily Value = 300 mg] 18 g saturated fat [Daily Value = 20 g] 57 g fat [Daily Value = 65 g] 30 g protein 38 g carbohydrates 790 calories (This nutritional analysis from Hardee's website) I guess if you eat one of these at breakfast, you will have to have a super-healthy diet (no sodium and no fat) the rest of the day!

Most delis in my part of the world offer some variation of the "Hungry Man" at breakfast. It is usually at least three eggs, along with bacon, ham, sausage, and cheese on a hero/grinder/sub roll. Fortunately for the delis, they aren't required to publish nutritional info as I am sure it would be even more grim than that posted above.

if there's no nutritional data, that means there's no calories.

I don't think the FFR's will ever get a breakfast sandwich right... I need sauteed onions & bell peppers in abundance! What about some mushrooms also? One would have thought that "they" would be taking advantage of the vegetable thing. Just piling more meat & cheese on an item is a bad idea.

I agree , Pigiron...I wouldn't want to see an autopsy of someone who'd eaten a few of those.

Saw one the other day. One of the older folks at the Hardees ordered on just to show it off. It ended up taking five seniors to finish it off, and none were inpressed.

In my area, at least, I have noticed the biscuits becoming more hard and well done (burnt) as opposed to light & fluffy. My favorite is somewhere between these two extremes.

I love the plain old sausage & biscuit also. Never liked cheese on my biscuits. We always thought of Hardees as an establishment that was in the smaller towns, outside of the cities. Now most of them are gone. The only one I know that is still around is in a major city. Go figure.
