Hardee's Mushroom 'n Swiss

Waay back before it was bought by Carl's Jr. Hardee's perfected the mushroom burger sauce. Add curly fries and you had the epitome of fast food. They were both gone for awhile then Carl's Jr/Hardee's brought back a reformulated mushroom sauce (oregano?) that is inferior. I'd like to think that is why so many Hardee's are closing. Comment?

After not having had a mushroom and swiss at Hardees for years (I make my own if we want one), we tried one last winter and it was so bad, I could not finish it. It was nothing like it used to be, it was downright awful.

Went to Hardees today because I had a $1.00 offcoupon for a combo meal- had the mushroom & swiss. The burger was cooked to death, as is the norm at fast food joints,a mushroom sauce they were skimpy with, swiss cheese, and the bun didn't have sesame seeds like the picture. It wasn't great,it wasn't terrible. I'd get another one only because I a coupon for $1.99 for the sandwich, normally $3.59.

There used to be a Hardees in one of the student center at Rutgers. It was great for a college kid with little money and the metabolism to process all the grease. I remember it being good, but 20 years later I don’t know if I would eat at one again……..aw, who am I kidding I would try it again.
