There was a Hardee's in the student center of Rutgers when I was goping there and working atthe Student Center. Just thinking of that Hardee's smell know after all these years still gives me the willies. It was quick crappy fast-food that served it purpose then, but I wouldn't go near today. It is no more or no less then what you would expected from a fast-food place.

I have not had one of those burgers in a long time-sourdough bacon cheeseburger-that was a good burger in college (they were open 24/7-they make it right when you order it that late.

Hardee's is one of the most popular chains here in southeast NC. I remember back in the early 90's their burgers weren't that great. But their breakfast has always been excellent. The Thickburgers are pretty good, but if I go there it's usually for breakfast. All the Hardee's around here still sell Fried chicken, which isn't that bad, but not as good as Bojangles.

Hardee's has all but disappeared from the Metro Louisville scene. I think it was a franchiser that folded and no one has stepped in to regenerate the stands under the Hardee's name. I know there are none in Southern Indiana (Louisville area) and I have seen several 'closed' former Hardees stands in the city itself. I don't know how far the shut-down extends east and south?? While their burgers were only "OK" for us, we did like to get the breakfast biscuits at times. With a Culver's in operation in Corydon, that is where we usually go for FF burgers.

Hardees does not service fried chicken in Knoxville. I understand that only non owned stores do that???? Although I did not think their fried chicken was the best, it was very handy when it was available. I have a Hardees store very close. Paul E. Smith Knoxville, TN

They do make a pretty good milkshake. Hand dipped and mixed with one of those official milkshake mixers.
