I used to call Hardees " Hardlys" as hardly edible, but after trying the 1/3 lb cheeseburger  I have reluctantly changed my mine.  While not the best they certainly beat McDs and Wendys.

I'm slowly changing my opinion on Hardee's as well. I've always liked their biscuits, but you'd never find me having lunch or dinner there. The parking lots were always empty (real bad sign) and the menu was schizophrenic. It seemed like they were trying to sell everything, spreading themselves too thin, and you could tell in the product.

However, here lately I've been ducking into Hardee's for a quick lunch or dinner where I need to escape the office to a quiet place. I gotta say, I really like their Big Chicken Filet sandwich. And the fries are good too, not the cold, tough things you get at Wendy's.

I agree about the fries, too, especially compared to Wendy's.  I prefer their regular fries to the curly-cue seasoned ones.  Wendy's normally does a pretty good job for a fast-food hamburger joint but their fries have been their weakest point, imo.

The Hardee's we have here is a block from me. Convenient for coffee in the AM. (I have Stephanie put Small in a Large coffee cup & throw a milk over it. Hardee's Latte. Mmm!

I won't say they'll never go out of business, but they really are the only drive thru downtown. Everywhere else you have to get out of your car & go in. No one likes that, especially now that the half hour lunch hour seems to be standard.

Love the biscuits, the gravy has changed over the years & is not as good as I remembered it to be. They took away curly fries for about 5 years but brought them back. Loved the Frisco, didn't realize they did away with them.

In the York area and surrounding 'burbs, there are three Hardee's left, down from six or seven ten years ago. For whatever reasons, I've not been in one for over ten years.
