Has Anyone Heard From Dickestep Lately?

He hadn't posted for a while...I was just wondering if he was O.K....

I was wondering the same thing. Maybe his cuz will step in and shed some light.

Maybe he'll post again soon...

I'm missing Dickestep

I don't know where he is either, I do know that he dissapears frequently and I know why. I'd noticed a few days ago that he was AWOL but didn't stress over it. I just sent him an e-mail with a link to this thread. I'll post back if I hear from him.

Another guy that has dropped off the screen is PapaJoe. The chili king!
Just have to wonder what happens to these one time active posters.

Amen. Another one we haven't heard from in a while is Chef Joe. I had a few transactions with him in the past and he even sent me one of his cookbooks. Last I heard from him he was soon to be off to make chocolate in Europe, I believe... ()

I notice that a couple of the AWOL posters were folks who came and posted a lot in a short time. Dickestep had 400+ posts in a month of activity, and PapaJoe over 2000 posts in about a year. I wonder sometimes if all that posting in a short time burns folks out. I have seen quite a few people burst on the scene with good posts, and a lot of them, and then vanish as quickly as they come. Most of the long time posters don't ever post at such a high rate. Whatever the cause of their departure, I'd prefer if they were still here and hope they return soon.

I have been wondering about Ort Carlton. I believe he posts, and has internet access from his library. I miss him, too.

Oh, I miss Waffle House Rules, Peachpie 9 and Fastfood (the arbys' guy)

I miss Pwingsx's earlier post.

I miss I 94. He sure was funnier than his brother.

Thanks for your concern. I have missed you all, too. I've been getting a few things done away from my PC and spending some time with a friend. I may even get some cooking done this week. :-)

I hope some of the other posters return, too. The question about me is will I fade away again or make it to 500 posts in under two months? My normal posting output over the last eight or nine years is approximately 500 to 2,000 a month in one forum or in several. There are at least three of my regular forums I have over 20,000 posts in. I like this forum, so should I cease posting entirely please drink one to a dead old soldier.

It's mostly because I'm an old battle wreck and hermit, Cuz.

I'm kicking this message up again. I'm still writing fiction and still getting older. I'll hit the big 66 in a couple of weeks. I'm old enough I remember seeing cousin Mike's birth announcement card and everyone knows he's older than dirt!
