RE: Has Your Local Wendy's Closed?

I live here in Columbus, OH where the chain started. A few have closed in the last 5 years, most noticeably the original store in downtown Columbus closed this past March. A store closed in the Northland area near the former Northland Mall a few years ago as well. Still sitting shuttered today. A few years ago it looked as if Wendy's would overtake BK for the #2 burger chain but now I have my doubts if that will ever happen. No fast food is every very good, but Wendy's quality has suffered as well as ideas. I mean, how many things can you actually do with bacon and beef? I think personally a BK burger tastes better than Wendy's or McD's.

The one in Alexandria, VA on Van Dorn Street closed. I'm not totally surprised as the building was not new and the shopping center it was located in the parking lot of is pretty shady.

Well, I cannot speak for the world, BUT, here in suburban Sacramento, Wendy's are doing so fine. I rarely eat fast food, anymore, but I do like their chili, baked potato, and other .99 cent menu items. I do not have much of an appetite, so those items are a plus, for me. I will say, when I have one of their burgers, they taste most like "home-made", than the other fast-food places, IMO. I do see lots of BK's closing.... For Wendy's.....
