Has anyone used this company to help with yelp reviews?

We are struggling with mediocre reviews on yelp and a few other sites.  I was contacted by this company Repifi that supposedly screens and monitors your online reviews.  It looks good on paper but I wanted to see if anyone has tried them and how successful were they?  I found them at repifi.com/whatisit

If I'm not mistaken, I think what he's talking about is a company that monitors the postings and traces them to the source to see if someone, like a competitor or disgruntled employee, is slamming your business.

I signed up with Repifi 2 months ago and its actually not bad.  They don't just remove bad reviews but they create a system using my existing customer base to bring in additional positive reviews.

Like I said I've only been with them for 2 months, but I can say it appears they do what the say they can do.

All these review websites make your business vulnerable to bad competitors...so getting fake good review is not really that unethical if you ask me... Fight fire with fire.

A good way to do this is craigslist or fiverr

Fake reviews are lame.  If a place can't get solid reviews on their own and learn from negative reviews then they have tons more to worry about than just finding the right company to make them look good.

OK, here's the question: what do you do when a competitor of that employee you fired for stealing starts putting up negative reviews?

Contact the reviewing site and file a formal complaint to have it removed.  Happens all the time and I guarantee these "companies" do the exact same thing for you-just charge whereas a little legwork by the restaurant sreves the same purpose free of charge

I've tried that with yelp, but they are a complete scam.  They now offer a "membership" that I can pay for that will remove a bad review upon my request.

Anyone else have experience with this?  Doesn't this seem like a scam?

How exactly did they help you?  It seems like the only companies that claim they can help with this also charge an arm and a leg.

My brother-in-law used reputation.com.  He says it cost him a fortune, but he was able to get his negative reviews off.  He had an issue with a very sleazy competitor who was posting bad reviews everywhere.

Any effective ways to do this without paying $?  Any advice would help.

That's odd; they never offered me anything like that. Are you sure you were talking to Yelp?

I think you should tell Yelp you have a competitor who is slandering your business and HUD like some help getting that taken care of or you'll have your lawyer give them a call and sort it out. They can't charge you for doing that nor can they support someone who does that

Classic. I can't stand fake reviews. Ironic that they are fake reviewing a fake review company. Maybe it's not ironic but expected. I still hate it.

Actually, if you have shady or undeserved reviews on yelp and you have an account(free) to edit your yelp page then you can ask the moderators to remove these and, with a little research, they usually will. On the other hand if your product is mediocre then that's what the public will say. It is, after all, a customer review site. I pay $300 a month for yelp advertising. It's not the best deal in the world but for advertising it's not too bad. They don't put ads on my page, I have a short video of my trailer, and they advertise on my competitors pages. The did sucker me into a year contract. I don't like that too much but I do like the ill video. We are Gonzo Juice in Austin

That's a bummer that people in your area don't embrace yelp. It works great in Austin for an honest look at a business's performance since its the customers that make the reviews. I have had a couple of mean and unfair reviews and the moderators agreed and removed them. This was long before we formed an agreement for advertising btw.

It's crazy how different places place different weights on the various reviewing sites. When I lived and worked in the keys it was all about Tripadvisor. Almost to the point of nausea. Every place you went was soliciting votes and reviews. Back on the "mainland" I guess it's more varied but different areas tend to prioritize some more than others
