I own a text messaging advertising agency and was curious if anyone here has ever used text messaging to bring in more customers? I have several clients doing well with it.

Just curious.

I've seen this used by mobile vendors to broadcast out what their location is going to be that day. You would have to sign up to receive them.

All you need for that is to hook up your texts with your twitter account, you do not need the service the original poster is spamming about.  You do not even need to text, just tweet your location before you leave in the morning.
