Heard the latest in wine???

Waiter, There's a Fish in My Wine!

Jan 31, 10:36 AM (ET)
BEIJING (Reuters) - The French used grapes, Russians fermented potatoes, Koreans put ginseng in their drink and Mexicans distilled cactus plants to make fiery tequila. Now China is introducing fish wine.
Sun Keman, an entrepreneur in the northeastern port city of Dalian, has formed the Dalian Fisherman's Song Maritime Biological Brewery, with a plan to use his background in the fishing industry to make fish into wine. Different from China's thousands of years of brewing, the brewery will clean, boil, and ferment fish for making wine," the official Xinhua news agency reported. The company already had orders from Japan, Russia and other parts of China, it said. Tipplers might also take heart in knowing the brew is purported to be good for them. "Experts said the wine is nutritious and contains low alcohol," Xinhua said.

I do not think this guy will become a millionaire. However, I think the best fish to go with his wine would be anchovies.

Anchovies go with any wine. As I recall, I had red wine with my last double-cheese, black olives and anchovy apizza. Of course, I hads white wine with my last anchovy, green peppers and pineapple apizza.

I disagree. I think it's likely he WILL become a millionaire...assuming he started off as a billionaire.

The sommelier at dinner last night was really trouting this wine. Bassed on his suggestion, we decided to try it (not to carp, but I'm a sucker for new taste experiences). We knew we were in trouble when we smelt a musky stench fill the room as the cork was removed. We tasted. "Gar!!", my wife exclaimed, "This is awful!" and headed for the powder room. I rather liked its spicy flavor, which was breaming with pumkinseed and dace, with an undercurrent of pickereled herring... Sadly, I overindulged and am still somewhat eel. What a crappie day...

Chub? Chub? And just what makes you think I might fit that description? Have you been talking to some mountaineer? A little puffer, perhaps, and possibly somewhat porgy, but certainly not chub. I think that calling me a chub is very eel-advised.
