Help in Fairmont, WV

My wife and I will be staying in Fairmont on Thursday night after Labor Day.  I think we'll be too tired to drive to Julio's.  We would appreciate any suggestion for good food.  We really do need help--last time we ate at the  Cracker Barrel.

A friend recommended Muriale's to me a while back, but I haven't been able to get there myself yet.  Yann's Hot Dogs is a local legend, but they aren't open for dinner.

Thanks, buffetbuster.  We will give Muriale's a try and report back here.  Surely any friend who recommended the place to you had a really good opinion of the place.

I'm more than a little late with this.  We did try Muriale's and were very glad we did.  Someone on another site had suggested sticking with old favorites, so I ordered spaghetti and meatballs.  Muriale's version is excellent.  I also had their minestrone soup.  This was very thick and very good.  My wife had eggplant parmigiana and was less happy.  She prefers that the eggplant be battered and fried.  Muriale's version was quite good (I tried it), but not quite to her taste.  If there is a next time in Fairmont, we'll definitely go back.  Again, thanks.

My MIL always asks if the eggplant is battered (with breadcrumbs) and fried. If not she won't order. She's 86 and speaks her mind, she sometimes tells them "they don't make it right"
