Let's see now--that's 8 LOSSES for the Yankees and 8 WINS for the Red Sox!! Fenway Park seats are full and tickets are way less then $2500!! It's a good year for the Nation! See you in 55 days!

In case you haven't noticed--Bucky Dent is no longer a factor in the Sox/ Yankees games-and its been a long time and A LOT of money since the Yankees won a Series. I figure whenever a Yankee fan mentions the glory of the past it means that they are not pleased with the PRESENT! We old hippies have a saying---BE HERE AND NOW!

No, tiki...it just means we like to remind you chowdaheads about our 26 series titles and your 7. Keep it up, thought - 2 more series wins and you'll be tied with the A's A's! Why, you can even dream of catching up with the Cardinals!

Ok..So you're getting your rocks off for the past few years. Hey, you're all entitled. With the history between these two clubs and the beatings you've endured for so so many years, who can blame you for shouting in the streets. I think once we replace Cashman or at least bring in someone who understands pitching, we be right back on top of your butts! The big difference IMHO in the past few years has been the wonderful job Theo Epstein has done vs the lack of same from Cashman. Can you imagine where these two clubs would be, if you guys had gotten our newest first baseman, too! Yikes! Tiki- you really have to calm down.....Show some class. Don't kick a guy when he's down. Not to change the subject but was Big Popi on the juice or not? I hope they stick with him for our (Yankee fans) sake. But, I think it's time for Theo to pull another genius trade out of his butt. That's what I worry about. Every few years, he makes a trade that keeps them going for the next 2-3 years.

I believe a Pennsylvania college football coach said this: "You are never as bad as you look when you lose, and you are never as good as you think you are when you win"

Like I care about the NBA, tiki. We havent had a team in Western NY for about 30 years. But I gotta love you crowing abut an 8 v 0 stat over the past couple of months and trying to ignore 26 v 7, then changing the subject to the Celtics. Luckily for me, my family may have come to Mass. in 1638, but were smart enough to leave and move to New York so I could grow up a Yankees fan.

The Royals have one of the best young pitchers in baseball. Hopefully, he will be traded to the Yankees! I say give them Mariano and make Jabba our closer.

My favorite teams are the Mariners and whoever is playing the Yankees. Bragging about the Yankee past is like Ohio and Virginia bragging about being the mother of Presidents when neither has produced a president in over 80 years. C.C. is a good, not great, pitcher but he like the great AROD does not seem to have the make-up to be productive in the post-season while playing in New York. Burnett looks like a deer in the headlights while Damon and Matsui are old and overpaid. Xavier Nady is just overpaid. I respect Jeter and Yankee money may enable them to overcome their bad baseball judgement and make the playoffs but I think the Tigers, Angels, and Red Sox would clean their clock because they are smarter teams with better pitching.

Dont worry folks---we Yankee and Sox fans are tough--we can handle each other just fine!!!--it IS just a game----but it's OUR game!--and we love it! Heckling has ALWAYS been part of the game and if you folks that havent had a CENTURY of history on your team finally get that--you to will be as rabid as Sox and Yankee fans!---aint that right Chubs fans!?

Let's just see how Bastardo pitches tonight. In a way I'm glad I couldn't watch 13 innings last night...

I wonder how many career HR's the Babe or Mickey would have hit if they played in the New Stadium. Baseballs seem to be flying out of that park!

There's just one baseball team in New York worth bothering about -- the New York Giants. And there's only one ball park in the world worth bothering about -- the Polo Grounds. Everything else -- Ebetts Field and Yankee Stadium -- is nothing but a dustbin for bad memories.

Michael Hoffman, the baseball Giants are in San Francisco. I know, I've seen them play there many times in my life. Maybe you are just getting old and are confusing that wanna be football team that claims to be the NY Giants that are actually the NJ Giants. I've been to their games a few times. (Tounge now removed from cheek) MikeS.

(Tounge now removed from cheek) MikeS. I understand that there are those who truly believe the Giants left New York. Clearly, those people are in dire need of a certain type of medical treatment. As to the New York football Giants, well, all I can say is that "wannabe," as you put it, football team is a multiple Super Bowl champion.

Sal & his first wife were also married at St. Patrick's (the same church as my parents were) in Elmira when Sal was playng A ball there.
