Home-made ice cream
I had a cone of some of the best tasting ice cream I've had in a long time yesterday afternoon. It was hand-scooped at a small ice cream shop in Takoma Park, MD - Island Delights is the name of the shop and they did have a selection of non-dairy and lo-carb/calorie options (Takoma Park being a vegetarian/vegan-leaning town). The flavor was Mango-coconut and it was out of this world delicious!! you'd think that the coconut would be very sweet, but it was really more of an undertone to the mango; the ice cream had visible flecks of mango in it. If it hadn't been so hot yesterday, in fact, I would have taken home a pint of the ice cream, but I was afraid it wouldn't make it all the way home without melting!
