Just to get this thread back on tracks, I will add my value and points.

I had their wings and whatever a few weeks ago, they were hot and fresh and the sauce was very good.

I guess that no where you go, chicken wings and short legs can be cooked just right. Hooters did that.

Sorry for the folks who do not care for chains but they did it very good.

Ok... I succumb..
I like their shrimp with the hot sauce....
Sometimes, a little too much breading, but like them just fine.

My eighteen year old daughter just got a job at Hooter's. She made almost three hundred dollars in tips last night.

The Hooters in Selma, Tx is located in the old police station/city hall - how's that for irony?

I'd listen to your girlfriend. I'm sure she has your best interests at heart. I would caution you against making untrue accusations about Michael Hoffman or anyone else on these boards though. We love to talk about food but this board suffers trolls poorly. I read this post of yours and I wish you'd fill us all in on it.

I confess to only enjoying their roast oysters; the rest of the food for me was very unremarkable.
Its been a few years since I've been to one, and would probably only return if a group of friends wanted to stop in.

When I go out with my buddies, there will almost always be someone who wants to go to Hooters. Sometimes I fight them, sometimes I don't! I can tell you that I think their wings are horrible. The one thing I can find on the menu that I consistently like is the buffalo shrimp.

Oh...how sad is this. Last year I ate Thanksgiving dinner at the Hooters in Raleigh! My cousin and I were on an eating trip in the Carolinas and we had a great traditional Thanksgiving meal at The Todd House in Tabor City around noon. Around eight that night, we were hungry again. I called all over the city and couldn't find anything open other than Hooters. The place was so empty, all the Hooters waitresses were killing time by playing the board game Clue.

Used to visit the Hooters in Newport Beach quite a bit. It's been closed for a while now, but it was always a fun place to hang out, right on the water. I prefer the wings naked, but it's hit and miss whether they're going to be good nor not.

Recently read an article in the SD paper about a new store that was going to open and the outrage in the community. The same thing happened when they opened their Pasadena store. Yet if you head into one in the south it's usually filled with a mix of guys and families. Really people, calm down already.

Well, in my younger days, I have to confess I made the pilgrimmage to hooters many a time, but I've never been to that place where the girls wear the orange shorts.

My daughter has been working at Hooter's for less than a week and is happy as a clam w/ the whole deal. Someone must be going there. Last summer she made zip as a life guard. During the school year she only wants to work weekends and the Hooter's manager told her work when you want to.

She is 5'8", w/ long blonde hair, big green eyes, virtually no chest, NHS president, 5.4 gpa (honors classes and all that), # 9 in her class, # 1 on the tennis team, and bounces out of the house wearing those absurd orange running shorts and "wife beater" top to go sell wings and grouper sandwiches to the masses.

One great thing is she brings home a few dozen wings each night. Funny thing is she can't serve beer...she can take the order...but cannot serve it.

I have eaten there a couple of times over the past ten years...same order same experience. I order the chicken sandwich , which is a pedestrian sandwich...edible, except for the taste of cleanser on the buns. It is served in those woven wooden bowls. I assume they can't run those things in a dishwasher and it tatses like they clean them with Formula 409.

At this point I'm not going there to eat unless they start serving in the nude...and even then I'd think twice...

Never been in a Hooters in my life, though just for a laugh i could check it out.The one in Selma Tx near me seems to always have customers. And yes it was the old Selma City Hall/police station. I was in there when it was the City Hall Grill, and they would give you a discount or a free meal if you came in with a City of Selma speeding ticket.Used to have an old fifties police car parked out front.
I think Selma once made national news when they did a thing about speed traps around the country. They still catch them on I-35 North to Austin.

Anyone saying "the only reason people go there is for the half-naked girls...the food sucks" is an idiot.

I literally get cravings for the wings. After eating the three mile island kind, the next morning my fingers still smell like the sauce and I am STARVING for more wings. It's really strange.

Sometimes the wings aren't up to par. But most of the time, EXCELLENT. If you go with a lot of people and order a plate of 40, they will stack a bunch on a plate and they aren't as good. If you get a plate of 10 or 20 at a time, they are more tended to properly and crispier. Just something to look out for.

A great combo is the new Orleans shrimp and about 10/20 wings. Also the burger with wings.

Right now the crab legs are $7.99 a pound which is a great deal. Not the best crab legs in the world, obviously, but still pretty good. Get a pound or two and then slam some wings. Great combo.

I always ask for a little cup of 3 mile sauce when I leave, so the next day I can hit Hardees for a 99 cent spicy chicken sando....drizzle tons of the three mile sauce on there and BOO YAA!!

That's true. The couple of times I was there the waitresses were even less appealing than the mediocre wings. The ones in the commercials and on the calnedars apparently don't work in the actual restaurants. At least not at the one in Columbus.

I've seen some dogs working in Hooters but for the most part the young ladies are lookers. Down south anyway...but then again southern girls are better looking. I will now duck from the brick bats headed towards me.

I have been to the Hooters on Kingston Pike in Knoxville several times, and love it! The first thing that I ever ordered was the grouper sandwich and it was soooo big I literally had to fold the fish double to get it on the bun. The taste was out-of-this-world. I also love the wings, medium, the flavor is so full, its hard to describe.

Now, mind you, this is the only Hooters that I've ever been in, but they are Great in my book!

I go there about once every 5 months, i have had both awesome food there, and stuff that was suppposed to be food but turned out to taste very strange I love thier curley fries and beans!. My sister worked there for 6 years at the original location in clearwater so I have inside knowledge that those girls make serious bank. I expect that when I go there, I will pay for it later, its a given!

My daughter brought home a huge bag of wings last night. Things aree GOOD.

The family went for dinner there on Saturday night and the manager wanted to hire my other daughter (she is an "early bloomer" and only thirteen!) because her older sister is doing so well. Say what you want but the food is good.

I always got good hot fresh wings at Hooters.

The burgers were also good and the fries were fresh and hot.
