I havent been to one in a few years, but I do remember it being a pretty good place to drink beers and eat wings. Nothing special, but breaded wings are a nice change-up once in awhile.

If you saw some of the girls at the Hooters here, you'd use any magazine or a plate to shield your eyes.

When my grandson was around 9 we were in a bagel shop picking up a few bialys when two women who worked across the street at a Hooters came in wearinf coats over their uniforms -- it was winter -- and because of the heat in the bakery they opened their coats while ordering. When we got out to the car, Ryan began begging me to take him to Hooters for lunch. I finally did one day a couple of weeks later. That kid was the absolute messiest eater that day I've ever seen.

IwanaGo and myself go to Hooters for their breaded wings with the hot sauce. Personally, I really enjoy the place. Great TV, beer and the fried breaded wings are very good. At least in my opinion. Paul E. smith Knoxville, TN

I've only been there with the grandson. He ate wings. I've never eaten there -- I've just had coffee when I've taken him.

I volunteer at the local veterans' home and play poker weekly with a bunch of vets of WWII and Korea mainly, and they went on an outing to the local Hooter's recently - their aides took lots of pix but i have yet to see them - I do have pix of us playing poker but I should wait to post the Hooter's pix if and when I can lay my hands on them and get an OK to do so from the home and the guys.

Hooters has the kind of food that is so bad it's good. I like their wings, breaded or naked. Their sandwiches are okay. Their seafood is actually pretty decent, and both better and cheaper than you'll find at Red Lobster (but then again, I live smack dab in the middle of the country). Of course their salads leave something to be desired, but if you're going there for the salads, you're really messed up! All of the Hooters restaurants in the KC area went to full bar service over a year ago and it has certainly helped their business. As for the waitresses, they are hit and miss, both in looks and in quality of service. If you find a really good one, though, it can be a nice dining experience.

A few years ago, cousin Johnny and I were in Raleigh for Thanksgiving. After having a fine early lunch at The Todd House in Tabor City, NC, we needed to find something in town for dinner. I must have called at least 20 places, all of which were closed. We ended up having Thanksgiving dinner at Hooter's. Not one of our finer moments! Actually, the food that day was really good (I agree about the buffalo shrimp).

They closed the 2 Hooters restaurants in Syracuse, too many health code violations I think. They're the only two I ever had a bad meal in. Edit: How could I forget, I got food poisoning from a bad hamburger at the one that was in Carousel Mall. I called the manager to tell him, and he gave me an attitude, and hinted that I was lying. The next week they were closed down. I used to go once a week to either the one in Bellevue, WA, or on Lake Union in Seattle. The food seemed prepared a lot better, and the waitresses out there seemed a lot friendlier and dare I say, Hooterier. I was at the one on the waterfront in Baltimore a few years ago, and a mom and dad brought their (probably) 8 year old boy there for his birthday. He was ecstatic as he stood up on the stool and danced when the girls did their birthday song for him.

All the Hooters in the upstate NY area went bust almost 3 years back. The Syracuse mall was the last location open as Clay, Rochester, Buffalo and Binghamton closed. The mall location folded a few months later. Hooters wings of Virgina was the franchisee and the went BK over millions in debt they couldn't service. I sure miss the breaded wings and the ta-tas!

I KNOW you know what real wings are! you're disappointing me - I may take your "Upstate NY Card" away from you, even if you have been shoveling snow all January long. ;o)

Not a surprising story around these parts. Yeah, I know. It was strange, because I was teaching in NY in the mid-90s and then left for NC and ultimately DC. I think it was 2003 or '04 or some where around there - so the then 12 year old was 20/21 years old. SeamusD I like their breaded wings, but if I want better wings, I go to the Blarney Stone on Tipp Hill. I don't know if this hole in the wall is still around, but I used to think Change of Pace bar, on the north side, had the best wings in Syracuse. Of course, that was a long time ago.

Oh come on guys; a lot worse things have been posted on here than that. Just ignore it and laugh your heads off all the way to "Hooters" for some of those fine wings! (This was editied for spelling errors.)
