Hot Dog Cart Prices Thu, 02/28/08 5:09 PM (permalink)
Hi Folks, I have a question directed to those who have purchased new carts from the manufacturers or distributors. Every web site has prices listed and I was wondering if these are suggested retail prices or are a solid price with no negotiation considered? Either way I would appreciate your experiences with purchasing a new cart. Thanks, Tom

Thanks scali71, I'm sure you're right. I am looking for some advise on approaching the dealers of new carts. I believe that sometimes when you buy used, you buy someone elses headache and thought that I would ask for input from people who have bought new. Take care, Tom

        Hey Star

I'm pretty new at this, but for what it's worth, I've done A LOT of research on carts (along with everything else). I've found that buying a cart is not like buying a car ... as far as negotiating prices goes. The best you can do is look for all kinds of carts, all kinds of distributors and manufacturers, and see where you can get the most for your money.

If buying one outright is going to be difficult, there are a few places that offer leasing programs, but I've been advised that due to additional fees, you end up paying WAY more in the end for your cart. So, see if you can get enough financing for your business that will cover the cost of a good cart.

        Best of luck
