Just a heads-up for anybody who: a) will go to the ends of the earth for all things hot dog; b) is heading down to Santiago this winter (their summer).

It seems that the Chileans are wacky about hot dogs and will stuff just about anything into the bun along with the tubesteak and give it a name. However, the classic version, which is featured at a chain called Lomito'n -- a South American version of Der Weinerschnitzel -- consists of a bun, the dog, then covered with guacamole, then a squirt of mayo the length of the meal. It sounds weird, but que bueno!

Hasta la vista!
