Hot Dogs in Phoenix/Scottsdale, AZ

Just moved to Phoenix in January from CT and am sorely missing a good hot dog out here. The only hot dogs I have seen are at the gas station / 7-11 on the roller machines. SOMEONE out here must be selling a good CT/NJ or even Chicago style hot dog. Anyone? Anyone?

Ted's was our dog of choice when we lived there. Looks like it's still as good

Wow, I didn't know Ted's was in Arizona. Their sauce is the best. I just booked a trip to Buffalo in August, and Ted's on Transit Rd is always my first stop when leaving the airport.

Thanks for the replies. Heading to Vegas this weekend, but will get out and try a couple of these over the next few weeks and report back.

Thanks everyone. I found a great place a few weeks ago in north Scottsdale called Dickie's Dogs located at E. Bell and 100th St. They claim to be "bringing a taste of Chicago to Phoenix". They serve Vienna Beef natural casing dogs and you can have your choice of charred or steamed. They have all the Chicago-style toppings, but also things like cheese and sauerkraut. I didn't go Chicago style with the dog I ordered - I had it charred with mustard, onion and relish. Really, a very, very good dog - one of the best I have ever had, including from my 15 years in Connecticut. Anyone local should check it out - it is a little out of the way, but worth it. They also have italian beef and several other menu options.

I'm a Phoenix area guy and a "Dogger" There are any number of "Chicago Style' dog shops out here. One in Scottsdale in the strip center at Shea & Scottsdale Rd. The Chicago Hamburger Mentioned before is good. They have good Fries and "Sliders" too. Daves Dog hause on University just east of Mill Av in Tempe Serves Dogs made in New England, Boston style Buns. Teds at McKlintock and Broadway in Tempe serves a dog made in Buffalo NY that's chargrilled.
