Hot Dogs vs Chicken BBQ Fri, 05/9/08 9:47 AM (permalink)
Hi all, I have been in the dog (Hot) business for years now and discovered something that I thought about making more money easier. Well here goes. why not invest your money into a Chicken BBQ business. Recently My men's club (F&AM)held a chicken BBq , we served over 1,000 halves and 500 dinners. We made a big profit from this. Now back to the business side, You need the Iron cookers, charcoal, and other assoc. but the people running the affair takes most of the hit. I havent thought it thriugh thouroly but, I think it would be more profitable in one day than selling dogs every day and fighting with all the red tape. IMHO PS I love the customers tho, and would miss the interaction. Later CBB PPS this sat we are doing an all you can eat breakfast for 6.00 at the lodge. then nothing till fall an Ox roast.

$6 all you can eat? I would be scared to do that. I am guessing alot of people would eat that in just bacon or any other meat

bob, i think its a great idea, but you could get 8-10 dollars.
chicken bbq scares me up here. i saw three last nite, but no grill, no smoker. just styro plates, stacked on tables, for god knows how long! i wouldnt buy it even for charity. now if i could see the meat coming off the grill, then maybe....
        good luck
