Hi, I have been researching and am interested in starting a mobile hot dog cart. I am very new to this and the area I will be starting it in. I am moving to tampa florida and was wondering if anyone could give me some information on zoning, permits, licensing and anything else I don't know about Thanks so much!

Spud not everyone. Moved from Fl to sell dogs and sausages. Met two more people from Miami and Crystal River today. They always come up and say they sure miss the dog carts and all from there. Spud have another food idea for your other truck. Need fryers.

CC been there and done that. Now sausages are. Seems that grilled onions and peppers draw's the crowd. Dogs and sausages alike. People here (know another thread) really enjoy their dogs. Would not believe what people order. Only cart in county on daily basis ( 2 licensed). Simple is best and they hate the roller grillers at all conv. stores. They come to me. Kraut and mustard BIGand chili second. Mustard slaw-big ( touch of horseradish in the product). Never had a problem with dogs grilled with burnt parts. Will tell you these people are underpriveleged. They don't care who is the best dog maker or any of that, they are starving for new. Most of my product cannot be had here. Go thru food provider for meat. My sausages are 1/2 fair prices and they pay. Have people order anyway from 1-18 at a time. Offices, car dealers(once a week)many here for sales meeting, police dept.at all levels, everyday traffic is mixed but good. Trying to educate them that they have been deprived by big stores to buy non-quality goods at outrages prices. Back to my point yes they are embraced here. Next time get a picture with Amish buggy at cart.
